Sorry for the lack of videos and updates, my computer has run out of memory 😅. Anyways, got into our last hive today thinking there was no queen as I haven’t seen her in any of my previous inspections.

Today I found her!! She is laying and the hive is quite busy with this warmer weather!!

🐝 **Moving Day** 🐝

Today was a big step for our surviving bees as we carefully moved them into a 5-frame nuc to help them rebuild and thrive. It’s always a mix of hope and nerves during moments like this, but seeing them settle into their new home reminds us why we do what we do. 💛

Every bee matters, and giving them a strong start in a smaller, more manageable space can make all the difference as they recover and grow.

One thing I don’t think a lot of folks know is how much work is done during the winter to keep colonies alive.

After every snowstorm, every windy day with snow on the ground…I have to go outside and dig them out so carbon dioxide doesn’t build up in the hives.

The work slows down after summer, but it doesn’t dry up. Looking at the future weather wise and hoping 🤞🤞the warm weather gets here and stays 🤞🤞
