I would 100% have a Christmas tree in every room of our house! In my dream house that’s definitely the plan! Even in the kids room. And we would definitely have a real tree for our family tree. That’s my vision for one day. When we could have both our family tree and my tree I love to decorate on the main floor/upstairs. In the meantime…we have our family Christmas tree with our special family ornaments in our family room downstairs.

I also added some other decorations on our bookshelves. Most of the snowman decorations were inherited from my Mom. She loved Christmas and decorating. Her theme was snowman and seeing them makes me think of her. It’s special and sad at the same time. But I’m glad to have these treasures to remember her every time I pull them out for Christmas.

And as much I love a good Home Sense/Walmart etc Christmas find, I’m partial to a lovely family heirloom or vintage/thrifted Christmas piece with history.
