OLD STRATHCONA EDMONTON MURAL & FOOD TOUR 🎨😋
Such a lovely time working with the Edmonton Mural Festival (EMF) to organize and lead tours for the fourth annual fest which is on now until September 15! More than a dozen new murals will be added to the city this year as part of EMF.
Our Old Strathcona tour took us in and around Whyte Ave. and ended on the Edmonton Fringe grounds. We stopped at a dozen murals, met, chatted with and watched two artists paint live (Josh Harnack and Andréa Schmidt), and we supported three local businesses with food from Remedy Cafe, flipsidebbqyeg, and Yelo'd! Everyone also took home an Old Strathcona Business Association Mural Map to return for some self-guided local art fun in the neighbourhood.
There are two tours remaining: Shop 124 Street & Area on August 30 (almost sold out) + Edmonton Downtown on September 3. Tickets have just launched for a Paint Battle & Block Party on Sept. 5 as well!
