Edmonton is getting some global attention for all the right reasons!👏

Oxford Economics has named Edmonton the only Canadian city on its North American “Cities to Watch” list for 2026.

Edmonton ranked 125th in Oxford Economics' 2026 Global Cities Index, behind Calgary at 69th. But Edmonton was the only Canadian city named to its new Cities to Watch list, with Oxford forecasting strong population and workforce growth.

What if one of central south Edmonton’s most convenient neighbourhoods is also one of the easiest to overlook? 🌳

Pleasantview is quiet, established and surprisingly well connected, with the LRT, Southgate, the University of Alberta and downtown all within easy reach.

But what I find interesting about Pleasantview is the range. Original bungalows sit alongside renovated homes and new infills, with prices and lot sizes that can vary considerably from one block to the next.

And there are trade-offs. Some buyers will love how quiet it feels. Others may want more happening right outside their door. Infill and construction are also part of the neighbourhood’s ongoing change.
