As well as being a seamstress and doing all kinds of sewing, whether it be clothing alterations or custom work, I also enjoy doing other crafts, crochet, quilting, cross stitch. Elie Alterations is closed for a few weeks as I am taking some time off for myself.

I am planning on re-opening on Monday June 1st 2026.

I shall not be taking any work until then.

Every piece has been washed and repairs made where needed.

I have a bagful of children’s clothing, a box full of adult’s clothing and I crocheted several sets of hats and neck warmers, hopefully these will make a difference!

As most of you know this is something I do each year and I am appreciative of everybody that helps me, thank you to you all 💞

Now that the weather is getting cooler and we are sorting through our winter jackets and pants, if anybody is thinking of buying new and throwing away what they already have because they have holes or need new zippers, please consider getting in touch we me.

I shall take adults and children’s clothes, make any necessary repairs and pass everything on to others that might not have winter clothing.

Everything will be much appreciated.

A wonderful customer came to me earlier this year, she got married 30 years or so ago and her daughter was getting married in August.
Brenda still had her wedding dress and asked me to make a robe from it that her daughter could wear whilst getting ready for her own wedding.
