I've wanted to make a new dino for quite a while now, so here's the evolution of "figuring it out". The blue on the right is the final pattern; I couldn't get the 'built in' legs to be on the bottom, so I went with added parts. I think the legs on the side make it look too aquatic, but I think I'll still make a few like that!
The bonus of the three rejects is that they have no sewn ends or eye backs attached, so I can just unravel them and make new things 😊

I decided to give a tiny Rumi from K-Pop Demon Hunters a try, she turned out pretty cute!
However, I discovered I much prefer bobble stitches over popcorn stitches, (Why is there a gap at the top of the stitch? Am I doing something wrong? Please tell me!), and I must have a looser tension than the pattern maker, as the head seems too big for the hair.
I'll figure out scaling, then give the other 2 a try!

This winter was a series of nothing working out well.
I make pokeball ornaments, and I get asked sometimes about Pikachu ornaments, so I thought I would give it a try. I just could not get the proportions right. Ears too small or too big, eyes too high or too low, etc. This one is still just not right.
I think I'll try again later this year; I'll keep this one for my own Christmas tree.
