This one means a lot to us.

When we decided to own a business, we wanted it to be here.

We believe locally owned businesses are at the heart of communities like ours. Familiar faces, neighbours supporting neighbours, and businesses supporting local teams, events, fundraisers and each other.

That’s a big part of why we do what we do. It’s not just about being passionate about our business; it’s about doing our part to keep local shopping strong and supporting the other businesses that make South Huron special.

If a local business has made a difference to you, take a few minutes to nominate them for a South Huron Business Excellence Award. And if Collins Home & Colour happens to come to mind, we’d be incredibly honoured. 🙏

👇 Nominations are still open:

Well, not everyone played it safe yesterday!

One of our favourite parts of Free Paint Friday? Seeing what colours everyone actually chooses when we say, “Go ahead ,pick one.”

And you guys understood the assignment.

We mixed up everything from rich, moody shades to fun pops of colour, gorgeous neutrals and a few choices that had us thinking, we need to see the finished project!

Here’s a little look at a few of the popular, fun and downright fabulous colours that left the store during Free Paint Friday.

See one you love? Tell us which one you’d take home. ⬇️

And if you missed Free Paint Friday this time…we did say the last one wouldn’t be the last one. 😉

WHO’S BORING NOW? 😂

Yesterday, it was Tuscan Orange.

Today? Mustard. 💛

Chris, on the other hand, apparently checked the forecast and dressed like Soap Stone. 🌧️😂

One of us set out to prove we’re colourful.
One of us dressed for the weather.

BOTH of us ended up matching paint.

At this point, I’m starting to think owning a paint store is affecting us.

So we need a ruling:

🟡 TEAM MUSTARD: Kim understood the assignment.
⚫ TEAM SOAP STONE: Chris is calling this “classic,” not boring.
