Starting Monday June 1st, and running every Monday for the month from 1-4 or 6-9 you can come and make your own Elbows UP CANADA flag. The flag measures 54” x 45” and it can be hung up, tossed over the sofa, used outside at the campfire, taken to the beach….whatever you like to do with it.

I’m offering 3 different styles you can make it in.
Scrappy, Plain and Simple or Country with Buffalo Plaid.

Scrappy will take the longest as you have to make the scrappy fabric (sew different shades of reds together) for the outside sections and the Maple Leaf. This will take 3+ classes to make.

Plain and Simple is easy peasy, you will just be using plain red and white fabrics for everything.

Country with the Black and Red Buffalo Plaid is just as easy as the Plain and Simple, only you use Buffalo Plaid for the outer sections and the Maple Leaf. Easy Peasy.

All the flags are $150 complete. You can change the embroidery work on the bottom or eliminate it altogether. It doesn’t have to say Elbows UP! CANADA.

If you have any other questions or want to sign up for a class, message me or pop around and see what I’m talking about!

Tomorrow at 10am the new fabric store will be open! This is a very low key opening, no balloons, or signs (just the SewWhat REPAIRS sign on our front lawn)…use the laneway off of MacNab St, come to the garage door and ring the doorbell to let us know you’re here. Then step inside, hopefully hubby will be there to greet you, but if he isn’t, just continue up the steps and into the house. You need the 2nd doorway on your left to head downstairs. (Before you get to the kitchen)Then just come on down! I have coffee and water for you to enjoy while you sit and look thru the books I have to give you lots of new ideas! Hope to see you here!

Forest’s newest Fabric/Quilting/Embroidery store is opening next Week! Mark Monday May 25th on your calendar! Make sure you drop by to check us out.

I’ve been busy re organizing our basement this last month or so and have the “store” area pretty much ready to be seven…All the new shelving is up, the new fabrics are in…more coming in all the time…so it’s time to show everyone what I’ve done!

Pictured are the Elbow’s UP! Canada quilts, plus tote bags and a large bow I’m offering as classes for the month of June, just in time for Canada Day!

I have fabric, quilt kits, panels and much more on sale all week. I’m going to do a draw as well, but haven’t figured all of that out yet…lol.

SewWhat SEWS will be open starting on Monday May 25th from 10-4. Our shop hours are the same as what is posted for sewing machine repairs…daily 10-4…except Sundays.

If you are dropping by on a Saturday morning, please be aware I have kids sewing classes going on in the other half of the basement. I’m here, but may be busy with the kids, so please be patient.
