Starting Monday off by reintroducing myself! Hi, I’m Mallory! 🤍
And if you’ve been here for a while, maybe even since circa 2013, you know this little business has lived many lives over the past 13 years.
What started with just me after design school grew into something I never could have fully imagined.
Reimagine Designs expanded from drafting new spaces out of my home office into a furniture showroom that I called home for 7 years. At one point, I had the privilege of leading an incredible team of eight. We designed spaces, filled rooms with furniture, welcomed so many of you through our doors, navigated a pandemic, adapted, grew, stumbled, learned... and kept going.
Behind the business, life was changing too. I was raising a young family, navigating a separation, finding love, getting married, and learning along the way that success doesn’t always have to mean bigger.
Closing the showroom was one of the biggest shifts. Our downtown was changing, my life was changing, and somewhere along the way, my priorities had changed too.
And now, 13 years later, it feels a little like I’ve come full circle. Reimagine Designs is once again a one-woman studio, run from my home office, just like where it all began.
I’m the designer, the buyer, the person answering your emails, sourcing your furniture, drawing your spaces, and obsessing over the tiny details. And there’s something really special about being this close to my work again.
The business looks different today, and I look different too. Hello, 40 in a few weeks! 😂 But the heart behind it is still very much the same. I’m still incredibly grateful that, 13 years later, people continue to trust me with their spaces.
To everyone who has hired me, shopped online, worked alongside me, referred a friend, shared a post, walked through the showroom doors, or simply followed along through one of the many chapters of Reimagine Designs, thank you.
Here’s knowing when to grow, knowing when to simplify, and realizing that sometimes coming full circle isn’t going backwards at all.
It’s coming home.
🤍 Mallory
