Just finished up a quick remake of two of my favourite pin designs! These were a custom order, but I have remakes of these and a few other beaded pin designs on my (very long) to-do list. Are there any pins you'd like to see me bring back?

The time has come to finally use this stunning stone that I got from ! It's been sitting on my desk for months, taunting me. I have a plan to make a fringed bead embroidered pendant. Will it work?? No idea, but I'm about to find out!

(Also, why do I only ever try to record reels when my nail polish is wrecked? Le sigh.)

She's finished!! Thank you to everyone who followed along with my progress on this necklace in my stories. I didn't realize how odd parts of my creative process were until I had to explain then to others! 😅 (If you missed the stories, I've collected them all in the "Necklace Process" highlights on my profile.)

This beaded collar necklace features an absolutely stunning Cherry Creek jasper cabochon from . I'd purchased the cab from Morgan at a market in early 2025 (or maybe late 2024??), but it took me a while to envision a piece that I thought was worthy of the stone. I think this was worth the wait!

This beaded necklace also includes a whole pile of faceted garnet beads that I'd been hoarding for untold years. Forget about "stash busting"; I think you just need the right project for the materials. Here the garnets give the beadwork collar a gorgeous subtle sparkle. (Of course I still need to take a video of this piece to really show it off. Hopefully we'll get some morning sunlight soon!)

I'm still looking for a name for this necklace. What would you call it? If you have ideas, I'd love to hear them!

Quick product photo shoot yesterday with at !

Photography remains one of the areas of the maker/small business life that I struggle with. I love beading, I love creating patterns and experimenting with new designs. Then, when all the work is done, I can't help but feel that my photography (and video!) lets my work down. Getting a new camera has helped, and I've done a basic product photo course, but I'm still not happy with the results. Beading is easy ... it's all the rest that's hard!

That's why I leapt at the chance to have Liz take a few photos of my pieces, both new and old. Really looking forward to sharing some of her shots!

This Saturday, join me at a festive holiday market at Royal City Nursery in Guelph, hosted by the Hive. This was such a fun event last year, and there are some great vendors lined up for this year, too!

Sorry I've been so absent, friends -- I've been renovating my bathroom. (It looks so good, and I'm so tired!) And now that the renos are almost finished, I've looked up and realized it's almost time for my December markets. Whew, what happened to fall?? Time to dive into decorating, get started on my holiday shopping ... and maybe even do some beading! 😂

"Abundance" - bead embroidered collar necklace, completed in summer 2025.

I realized I never gave my beloved "Abundance" her moment in the sun on social media!

With this piece, I feel like I'm finally moving toward the type of artwork I want to create -- balanced and organic and free-flowing all at once.

Looking for a beaded poppy pin? There's two ways to get one from me this year:

If you're in Guelph or area, join me tomorrow -- Sunday, November 2nd -- at the Old Quebec Street Mall, between 11 and 3. The Hive is hosting a fun post-Halloween market! (I'll have lots of other beaded items with me too, for your looking to get an early start on their Christmas shopping.)

Or send me a DM or email to order directly from my available poppy pins. If it's a bit late for shipping to your area, I'm also happy to discuss a custom order.

I just had to take a little video of these earrings in the sun -- I'm so proud of the cabochon centers! They combine a cool blue shimmer with a reflective rainbow flake to create a faux opal look. I was so happy when I took these cabochons out of their molds, and couldn't wait to create earrings to match!

These long fringe earrings have a cool purple to teal color fade, and are packed with sparkling crystal. This is a one-of-a-kind pair -- as much as I wish I could recreate these centers, I haven't managed it yet!

Shh, I know we're heading into fall, but I couldn't resist making a few more pansy flowers. These earrings are hand beaded with size 15/0 seed beads, backed with tan deerskin leather, and hung from sterling silver earring hooks.

Okay, whew. Time to turn my attention to fall pieces. Poppy pins and maple leaves ... but what else? 🤔 Let me know what autumn beadwork you're excited to wear this season!

My next show is coming up quickly! You can find me on Sunday, September 7 at the Dundas Artisan Market. Really excited about this one. The show will run rain or shine (please cross your fingers for great weather!), admission is free, and there will be so many amazing artists, artisans, and makers. Food trucks, too!

I've been hard at work restocking some favourites (Monarch wings, pansy flower earrings, poppy pins), and creating a couple new designs (Blue Morpho butterfly wing earrings!) and one-of-a-kind beaded pieces. Hope you'll stop by and say hi!
