✨ SOLD FAST - How Presentation Changes Everything ✨
This pair of ornate Chemcraft mirrors came to me from an auction lot that simply read “ornate frame – approx. 43” x 31”. No context, no brand recognition, and plain fluorescent photos. I bought them with no competing bids for $8 each!
When I brought them into Sell My Vintage, I did what I always do:
📸 Gave them proper, natural-light photography to show the gold tones and depth of the frames.
🪞 Researched the maker (Chemcraft, Winnipeg, 1970s) so buyers could see their real history and quality.
💬 Wrote a full, thoughtful listing that helped people see how they could be used - as wedding seating mirrors, console statement pieces, or romantic entryway accents.
The result? Both mirrors sold within one day for $150 total - a 9× return from the original purchase! And that’s quick-sale pricing. Had I listed them on Etsy or placed them in my upcoming Velvet Hollow Antique Booth (!), I would have priced the pair closer to $225–$250 based on market comparables.
As a former content manager, I combine my background in SEO with photos, keywords, and a good story to make sure every piece gets seen by the right buyers - and bought for what it’s actually worth. Everyone wins: the buyer finds something special, and the seller finally gets the value their vintage deserves.
