Oversized coffee tables can be tricky to style, too much and it feels cluttered, too little and it looks bare. Here are a few tips to help you strike the right balance:

1. Create sections
Break the surface into smaller, more manageable areas using trays, stacks of books, bowls, or decorative boxes. This makes styling feel intentional rather than scattered.

2. Play with shapes and height
Mix different heights and silhouettes to create visual interest. Avoid using only heavy, solid pieces, as this flattens the look. Instead, combine airy and substantial elements. Skip the matching vase set and try mixing unique pieces for a more curated, elevated feel.

3. Think about scale
Scale is key. With a large table, steer clear of tiny trinkets that can look cluttered. Instead, opt for larger statement pieces that feel proportional to the surface.

4. Break the rule of three
Not every vignette needs to follow the rule of three. Sometimes, a single oversized vase, bowl, or sculpture makes the strongest impact
