Busy day Haliburton County Farmers' Market in Minden this morning. So nice to see the large vendor turn out dispite the wind! Got my Whole Lotta Yum and Fishers Farms fixes!

I am getting excited for my first market date. Approaching shows always come with a surge of inspiration. This year I am focused on functional art. I have developed a fool proof system for Dominos. You to can make your own. All you need is a mountain of supplies, time and energy. Or you can find me at the art side of the Haliburton County Farmers' Market June 25.

How to make Dominos
Step 1: Find pretty little things and jam in hole.
Step 2: First coat resin (no bubbles) to hold down smalls.
Step 3: Second coat resin with glitter or ink
Step 4: Third back coat of resin.
Step 5: Fill in the dots

Traditionally I have always gone with cork or felt for the bottom of my coasters and this time I am trying out pleather. I love how it looks but I need to test out to see if it sticks to the table if it gets wet.

Domino fail. In an effort to make some pretty fancy dominos I went a bit too crazy on the design and now it’s too hard to tell what they are even when I fill in the dots.

These ribbon paintings can be ordered in any color, shape or size. This is also one of my favorite paint nights to do. You and your guests each get to choose a canvas and pick through my bins of fixings. I love how each time I do this paint night the finished pieces are a reflection of the people who made them. And when I make them I try to keep peoples style and personality in mind.

I have been playing with and pushing the limits of resin and the results are these bracelets. They could also be made napkin rings size. I will have lots of new options to choose from at the Minden Haliburton County Farmers' Market

For craft night, I bring everything including the drop cloths. I take the mess and do the hard part of finishing them properly with a resin top coat and felt bottom after the party. I return them to the event host, so they can return them to their guests.
