In the Polish countryside, wycinanki, or cutouts, were traditionally made during the winter-time with giant shearing scissors and a little touch of rustic magic. These beautiful, and fairly complicated designs, typically depicted nature and figures in traditional costume and every region featured it's own, unique style. Every piece made in Pumpernickel Cottage is handcrafted (NOT with giant sheari
ng scissors) and carefully designed so that every segment fits in perfectly with the whole. Each piece has it's own unique personality and brings a tiny bit of culture, history and countryside into the home.

Częściowo wzorowane na wycinankach łowickich i kurpiowskich z wpływami kanadyjskimi, a najwięcej jest w nich moich własnych upodobań i doświadczeń. Wszystkie elementy są zrobione ręcznie przy użyciu narzędzi bardziej przydatnych do tego zajęcia niż nożyce do strzyżenia owiec.
