Good day my little elves.

In the spirit of the holiday season I wanted to see what I could do to help my neighbour, Asher Davis, live out the adventure of a lifetime in Argentina this coming December. Asher is the only athlete from Atlantic Canada selected to participate in the Panamerican Optimist Challenge. What an amazing opportunity!

In keeping true to the sailing theme we will be selling tickets on one of my nautical pendants just in time for Christmas.

Tickets will be $5 each or 3 for $10.

You can choose from any of my nautical pendants. The value of the items range from $140 to $320 depending on your favorite style.

They are handcrafted from sterling silver sheet and either colorful acrylic, representing the colors in nautical lettering, or wood as the backdrop. Each of the silhouettes are hand cut and the layers are then drilled and riveted together to secure. Although the pendants are three dimensional they are very light due to the materials selected.

He is proud to represent the Hubbards Sailing Club and be the only sailor from Atlantic Canada selected for this event. Your generous support would be greatly appreciated!....

I wanted to shout out to Heddy's Warm Woolies for the warm welcome to the 3rd Annual Lobster Crawl Makers Market. We were a small but mighty group. You can check out her page to see all of the wonderful makers in the group.

It was my first winter show and it was so wonderful to have conversations with like minded makers and community members. It's the time of year we tend to be isolated in our studios gearing up for the next season so it was a welcome event and one I will definitely do again. 💙

I will be participating in this local market during Nova Scotia's "Lobster Crawl". Come check out the market and celebrate all things lobster on the South Shore!

We’re excited to announce that we have a full roster of fantastic makers lined up for the 3rd Annual Lobster Crawl Makers Market on Saturday, Feb. 8 (noon until 4 pm)! In the next few days, we’ll start featuring the Meet the Makers profiles - and you’ll be as excited as we are!

This year we’re delighted to welcome 9 makers who are new to our market (you’ll love their creative products) and also happy to have back 11 of your favourite makers who have been with us before.

And … with the month of February being Nova Scotia Lobster Crawl here on the South Shore, you might be asking “Hey, Heddy - do any of those artisans have things with lobsters on them?”, and I am saying “Heck yeah, they do!” … in fact, over half of the makers plan to include lobster themed items! How cl’awesome is that?!This is a Market you’ll want to be at!

🪼Custom Jellyfish Ornaments🪼

The bodies are hand formed from copper and brass sheet. The tentacles are created using authentic sea glass, gemstones, handmade beads, and found objects. If you have something special of your own you'd like to include you are welcome to send it along. These ornaments are wonderfully playful gifts for the mermaid or merman in your life.

Hang these from your Christmas tree, window or rearview mirror. They are sure to delight.

Custom pieces start at $75. I also have a large and small option using manufactured beads for $50 and $30. You choose your colors.

The Loon
I was asked to create a piece of work in honor of a very special human that we lost much too soon.

Loons hold a special place in our household and we are very fortunate to hear their call on a regular basis. As I have found since this piece was created loons hold a special place for others close to us as well.

What place do these special birds hold for you?

This piece was created using sterling silver and hammered brass. It was constructed with pins on the back for mounting and is approximately 2 x 3 inches in size.

I have been working on replicating a bracelet for a client to the west of us. This will be the third of a set of cuffs made for each of the men in the family. I was recommended to make the third for the youngest son.

That's is the best part of what I do. I get to become part of someone's story with every piece I am fortunate enough to create.

We recently discovered we were off a gauge in the wire which was causing a discrepancy in the braiding pattern. This means I now have two beautiful bracelets available for purchase.

The first is a tight weave that comes in at 1/4" wide. The second is a looser weave coming in closer to 3/8" wide. Both interior lengths come in at 6 1/4" but can be sized per your request.

Each item is constructed by hand with 12 gauge (2mm) solid sterling silver wire.
