I really get into the yarn Advent thing. Last year I did one at Halloween too and made my Rain or Shine Blanket in a month. That was a lot of knitting. This year I'm breaking the Melted Marl Blanket across two advents, Halloween and Christmas. These are the October bags.

If you've ever wanted to make an Advent we have a class for that November 15. Drop in and bring some friends. Bring your fi*****ng scraps to mix and match to make something beautiful.

This month's sweater is a bit of a conundrum. I love the swatch. 16 stitches in 4 inches. My kid wants a cabled sweater similar to the picture. However, the sizing on this sweater is either too small or way to big. He needs about a 36 inch finished. This one is 34 then jumps to 41. Any suggestions?

When you finish your assigned WIP sweater earlier in the month what do you do? Cast on a new sweater! This is a Novice Cardigan sample for our learn to knit a sweater class. I'm using a new yarn called Nuvola and it is amazing.

Take one ball of Gazzal Popcorn. Add one set of 12 mm dpns. Cast on and knit a 2x2 rib until you have 2 meters left. Cast off. Weave one meter of yarn through the hat just before the cast off edge and tie in a bow. A quick one hour hat is made. Don't need a hat undo the bow stretch it out and you have a cowl. Versatile, easy and fast. I'm ready for fall.

Please don't ask me where I intend on putting the Sandnes Garn Atlas. I really have no idea. 33 colours of Norwegian lambswool/merino blend at a worsted weight. Grab any three or four colours and you have a gorgeous colour work sweater.

Anyone else have a cat that seeks out darkened rooms to sleep. It seems a little sinister to me.
