It has been awhile since I had a chance to work on some new pieces. This cabinet is one of my favourites. Bought it at an auction for a client and designed it to fit into a space. The wood was beautiful and the only flaw, was the design in the front glass was broken and I had to make a piece to fit and fix it. Also had to replace the glass. (I broke it). Super happy with it and so is the client.

This is another piece I bought and again, when I got it, it needed some work, so I stripped it down to the wood and started from scratch. I am enjoying doing the free-hand sketches on them. Something I have never tried before. The first picture is what I picked up. I then painted and did the drawers etc. in a solid and although I really liked it, I thought it too pristine for the age of the piece, so I tried the last version.

Had the opportunity to be an exhibitor at “The Furniture Flippers” show out at the Oshawa Marketplace. Although just out of the hospital with a knee replacement and not very mobile, we managed to sell some of my work. It was a confidence booster for me as we had lots of interest, positive comments and I was even called an “artist”. I really enjoy doing this, so look around your home and if you think you want to refresh something, get in touch and we will gladly give you a quote. If you want to find something specific, I do that as well. I’m reasonable and the work is good. Please consider up-cycling your furniture instead of sending to the landfill. Here are so odds and sods that are completely re-cycled and made to order. The top image is completely for off cuts from work, even the frame. The bottom is a end table converted to a bench with storage. Great to have near the door to sit and put your shoes on. The cushions are on order. The commode is just for fun. Hope you like them!
