Tonight, I had the honour of creating a live painting at the 2026 United Way KFL&A Leadership Giving Reception.

Guests were invited to reflect on the question: “What’s one word that captures how we bloom through what we’ve been through?” Each person added their word to a jar, inspiring a collaborative artwork celebrating resilience, connection, and the power of community.

As the evening unfolded, those words helped shape a whimsical sky filled with wildflowers. The flowers in the painting were inspired by the beautiful arrangements on the tables, adding another layer of connection to the piece.

With this piece, I really allowed myself to paint freely. Instead of focusing on perfect brush strokes or perfectly shaped flower petals, I focused on creating as much emotion, movement, and creativity as possible. I wanted the artwork to feel alive and reflect the beauty that can grow from our experiences, imperfections, and connections with one another.

A huge thank you to Poppy and her mom for the stunning flowers that inspired this artwork, and to everyone who shared their words and stories. It was so special to watch a painting come to life alongside such an inspiring community.

One last big thank you to Jenna and the entire United Way team for inviting me and giving me this amazing opportunity. I am so grateful to have been a part of such a special evening. 💛

“Built To Inspire” ✨🎨

This piece was created to be bold, bright, colourful, and full of inspiration. From the very first brushstroke to the final details, I wanted this painting to remind people to create fearlessly, dream big, and always stay true to themselves 💕

Still smiling from tonight’s Art After Dark 💕🎨

What an amazing evening in downtown Kingston!! From 7–10pm I got to spend the night at La Bella Beauty Bar surrounded by so many creative, kind, and supportive people.

Watching everyone paint wine glasses, champagne glasses, and more with nail polish was honestly so much fun. Every single design turned out completely different and so beautiful in its own way. ✨

There is something so special about seeing people of all ages sit down, get creative, laugh together, and make something unique. Nights like this remind me why I love art so much. It brings people together in the best way.

A HUGE thank you to Downtown Kingston, Jillian — the owner of La Bella Beauty Bar — and the rest of the amazing crew for welcoming me, supporting me, and helping make tonight so special. I am beyond grateful for this opportunity and for all of the kindness shown to me throughout the evening. 💗

Another HUGE thank you to everyone who stopped by, painted with me, supported my little business, took photos, shared kind words, and made tonight so memorable. Your support truly means the world to me and I never take these opportunities for granted. 💕

So here’s your reminder to always always choose words that build you up, not tear you down.

Creating art has taught me to believe in myself, trust my ideas, and keep going even when things feel scary or uncertain. 🎨✨
