ABOUT WORKING GIRL:
Tess McGill (Melanie Griffith) is an ambitious Staten Island secretary with a night school business degree, trying to get her foot in the Manhattan corporate world, but struggling to get her male bosses to not just see her as a bimbo. When she gets a job as an assistant for Katharine Parker (Sigourney Weaver), Tess thinks she’ll finally be taken seriously. However, when Katharine breaks her leg in a skiing accident and Tess finds out that Katharine is trying to steal her ideas, Tess takes matters into her own hands. Directed by Mike Nichols (The Graduate, The Birdcage... and Carnal Knowledge playing earlier in February!) and also starring Harrison Ford, Working Girl is a comedy for the go-getters about faking it ’til you make it.
