Normally we are open Saturdays but we will be CLOSED this upcoming Saturday, Sept 5 for the long weekend (I will be away canoeing and camping!).

If you want to stop by, we will be open tomorrow (Thurs) 4-6 and then Tuesday 4-7. We'll also be fulfilling online orders for self-serve local pickup.

Our classes with Anna (Saturday) and Katy (Sunday) will run as scheduled!

We're trying a slightly different event format - not instructed like a class, but not as informal as our free Tuesday stitch night!

First up, we're offering a fun Halloween event on Sat Oct 31st 🎃

The 20$ event fee gets you...
- Everything you need to make a pumpkin (you just bring a pair of needles or a hook)
- Instructions to guide you through the pattern (formal teaching is not included)
- 2 hours of fun in our class and lounge space with other makers - expect decorations and music!
- Halloween treats

Some bulkier yarns have started to arrive for all your fall knitting! Lang Cloud comes in a range of fun colours and is super soft - it's a blown-tube yarn, light and fluffy! The stripe pattern works up beautifully in sweaters and accessories.

Our stock is selling quickly and we are already out of a few colours, but we will be reordering. DM or email if you'd like a specific colour ordered and set aside for you!

We've opened registration for the next session of Intro to Crochet! This one will be Wednesday nights, 2 sessions in October. In this class, you learn all the basic stitches and make a fun multi-coloured granny square. Taught by Anna Soer and capped at 6 students for lots of 1:1 instruction time.

We are halfway through the Aug/Sept of this class and are having so much fun with this session's participants! The October session will be in our new space (next door to our current one) and have lots more space and some new bells and whistles!

Some more details about our free swap event on Saturday! Bring your donations on Friday 4-6pm. The Dos and Don'ts are pretty intuitive but please follow them to keep the event fun and sustainable!
- Yarn, fibre craft equipment / notions, and fibre craft books only please. No fabric, sewing items, other craft supplies.
- Bring things in the condition you would want to use them in. Clean, not tangled, etc. Partial balls and skeins are fine, it's nice if you can label them, but not required.
If you are unsure about bringing something - please email or DM!

Saturday 11-12 will be for those who contributed on Friday. After that it's open to everyone and you can take anything you'd like to craft with from the swap tables.

We've had this gorgeous new yarn for a few weeks but I haven't had a moment to do a proper intro for it! Haynes Creek Heathers Aran is a 100% non-superwash wool made in Peru at a fair trade certified mill. It has a beautiful colour palette and is priced at 12$ per 100g skein.
I think this is such a great option for fall garments and accessory projects! It's also the yarn we used in our first session of the Intro to Crochet class to make our granny squares.

As always, you can purchase in-store (we are at our current location until late September), or order online for free local pickup or shipping across Canada.

By popular request... we have added an intro to sock knitting class to our fall schedule! Over 3 sessions, you'll learn to cast on the cuff, knit the leg and foot, and turn the heel and create the toe. Yarn is included in the class fee and there is an option to add needles to your registration if you don't already have sock needles.

This is an intermediate class - participants must already be comfortable with basic knitting stitches and techniques, and have some experience knitting in the round on their choice of magic loop or circulars.
