Local is so important now! I’ve been quietly working on this special project. These are three yarns all from Ontario sheep, goats and alpaca. The yarn was custom-made for Mindful Yarns at Wave Fibre Mill in Seguin Ontario. There is a lace-weight Corriedale-Alpaca blend, a fi*****ng weight Corriedale-Alpaca blend and a high-twist Corriedale-Mohair fi*****ng weight. These are non-superwash yarns. The colours come from natural dyes. I will have them in the Mindful Yarns booth at Fibre Spirit in Barrie this weekend (August 29) and at the Kitchener-Waterloo Knitters’ Fair on September 12.
