This vintage little handcrafted piece has been given a fun little facelift as it was starting to look a bit tired. I was given full creative freedom, asked only to pick something that will look nice on peach walls. It will now be a happy little pop of colour, serving as a safe haven for the household keys, as well as a handy message centre!

Solid pine dresser & nightstand ~ SOLD

This pretty set was in good shape, just requiring squaring up & a drawer repair. Both pieces are constructed of solid wood & have been properly prepped & refinished in a quality furniture paint with 2 coats of poly for added durability! Drawers are smooth & I've added vinyl gliders to protect all types of flooring.

I can see this pretty set in a little girls bedroom, a young lady's, or even as an entry table!

Well, sadly I didn't take before shots of Mr Waddles, but hubby & I worked together on giving him a new lease on life! I did take a pic of him all disassembled, but he'd already been partly rebuilt & sanded at this point lol!

This fun little antique belonged to my birth mom as a child so he is close to 80 years old! His stick was broken & taped in multiple places, his foot was broken right off, & he had lost his beak somewhere over the years! All have been mended or replaced, & he's been stained as well as given a protective coat of wax.

We didn't want to make him appear shiny/new, preferring to preserve his patina to show his age, but also make him handsome & hardy 😀 Do you think we accomplished our goals? He was a fun little project ❤️

I just received this very solid vintage barstool in near pristine condition. Because the finish is still in great shape, & it is very well constructed needing no repairs, I am offering as is, or it can be giving a facelift (my rate is $30 per hour & I'd expect this piece to take no more than 2 hours for a simple prep/paint/seal :)

This vintage quality oak Gerald Collins 6 piece queen bedroom suite is available as is, or for a full custom reFURb! ($600 as is...reFURb is $30/hr + materials).

Manufactured in Montmagny, Québec, likely in the 1960s, this masculine (IMHO) set is in amazing shape with gorgeous burlwood inlays & unique inset brass hardware! I'm thinking it could easily be modernized with a simple refresh via colour change with a quick scuff sand & gel stain, OR it could be a complete face-lift with paint! We are only limited by our imagination! I actually love this style of oak furniture painted because the wood grain still is visible, making it less flat, but I'd hate to paint the burlwood inlays, so a paint/stain combo look also could be a stunning option! This set includes a headboard, long dresser with mirror, cedar lined armoire, & 2 nightstands.

It should be noted that the top of the long dresser has some water damage, so would either have to be painted, faux wood finish, or new veneer.

This sanding/vac-cart for my workshop was reFURbished from a lovely vintage crib (est 1950s) for my donors family!

When this sweet lady contacted me about a very sentimental piece, she was very uncertain about donating it given that cribs that are not CSA approved cannot be resold. But when she was moving, she just couldn't bring herself to dispose of this piece because it had been handcrafted by her grandfather for his family & she had cherished it for so many years, knowing it had cradled 3 generations of her family including her babies. She also loved the work that I do & the cause it supports so was hoping that I could repurpose it in some way. When we chatted, I could not think of a single thing, but I assured her I would hang on to it until I could think of a way to give it a new life & honor her grandfathers memory.

Well, here we are, a few years later, with an extremely useful improvement to my workshop, which is now so much more functional. What makes this story even more poignant is that this kind donor sadly passed away not long after I brought the crib home. So, though it is no longer cradling babies, it is my hope that she is smiling down as she watches it living a useful, new but very different life ❤️

Update: the little corner curio went to her new home today & now is proudly displaying her new owners cherished teacup collection! Is that not perfect? ❤️

Started a new project today that is definitely different from anything I've done, but it's for one of my favorite people so I'm going to do my best!

What we have here are entry doors &, closet doors, all to receive a face-lift. For the wood doors, they have been cut down to fit at some point in their lives, & because they are hollow core doors, the bottoms were just a big gap with no rigidity! As a result, there is damage that will need filling, but before I do that, hubby cut some framing strips & they're all clamped in. Cleaning, filling & priming will be next steps & then finally, a cpuple fresh coats of modern soft grey paint. Not overly creative, but I do love keeping big pieces out of the landfill & giving them new life. And helping out one of my 4H "kids" is also a plus ❤️
