Looking back at old photos from before we’ve moved in, it reminds me how many personal touches we’ve added to this space over the past 4 years. In our kitchen and dining room, we’ve added shiplap, replaced the lighting, painted, added curtains, re-faced our kitchen cabinets and added new hardware! ✨

I can’t tell you how hard it’s been to find a medium toned brown floor, a lot of the options are either light oak style or too dark. We are feeling pretty good about this one though, what do you think?! 👀

We are wanting to go with SPC flooring as it’s waterproof and holds up well with tempature fluctuations which we experience a lot of up there from cold cold winters to hot summers!

The other wood sample you see is our interior ceiling wood paneling which continues outside as the soffit. So many decisions to make still but I can’t friggin wait to get back up here again 🫶🏼🌲!!

I gravitate towards simple holiday decorations.

Less stress to set up, less stress to clean up — I like to add little decorations like these trees that simply replace an existing vase. I also love our Christmas tree with the little white lights, some cedar garland around the fireplace and a couple shelfie additons but that’s about it in the house ✨🌲
