LIFE UPDATE: I sat on my couch almost 5 years ago brainstorming the possibility of a small business. Would people (other than friends and family that practically had to) buy my things? Could I make a website? How do you even go about getting business licenses, ordering wholesale, paying taxes? As a number of months passed, these initial questions turned into: Can I get into large-scale markets? Would a store sell my things (love you )? There have been so many “pinch me” moments as we have grown, met so many of you, expanded our products and wrote cheques to organizations that are making an incredible difference in the world.
As The Fifty Fifty workshop has grown, so has my family, and evenings that were spent on website updates, product research, pouring and designing are now sharing hours with homework, soccer practices, and regular family life details. The Fifty Fifty Workshop has been an incredible outlet for me, not only creatively, but as an opportunity to advocate for things that truly matter. However, as priorities in my own life shift, The Fifty Fifty Workshop will be put on an indefinite hold. I am incredibly thankful for the partnerships and people I have met over the past almost five years and while I will miss the connections, I am also excited to be a little less divided.
Thank you thank you for your love and support and for investing in me and things that I love. I will always be grateful.
