New things rolling into the shop hot and heavy for sweater weather 😍 Please come buy some skeins because I don’t know where I’m going to put all this 🙃

While I work away on getting them into the system, onto the website and then up on the shop shelves - I can tell you we’ve rounded out the full colour selection of Sandnes Garn Atlas, Alpakka and Cashmere.

We’re also introducing a few new colours for KFO Heavy Merino while continuing to work on expanding our colour selection for their Merino and Soft Silk Mohair options.

Somewhere in these boxes are the cute little cones of Rico Design Make It Blumchen (the carry along yarn with the itty bitty flower shapes sequins 😍 — I’m already planning a Christmas party top using some of this stuff) plus LOTS of wool mending thread in tons of colours.

If you’ve had the opportunity to visit our shop in person, you’ll likely have noticed the strong focus we put on representing as many local and Canadian shops, makers and independent dyers as we possibly can.

With the holiday season quickly approaching, we are looking to connect with even more 🇨🇦 makers to fill up some consignment opportunities we currently have at TWB. We offer a thoughtful, generous and flexible agreement that goes hand in hand with the busy, high traffic location of our brick and mortar in Fort Langley, BC. 🤝🏼 We are fortunate to welcome both local and out-of-town visitors year-round who prioritize supporting Canadian businesses and love nothing more than finding unique local treasures and trinkets.

Gonna preface this with a gigantic I’M SORRY for even posting but I’ve been told I need to get better about posting new items arriving in the shop. I’m sorry these are *whisper* holiday advent calendars and this year Firefly Notes has blessed us with an option for both knitters AND crocheters.

There’s a growing number of customers that have been falling in love with the ✨loveliness✨ of the recent new offerings from Sandnes Garn. It’s a lovely lofty worsted weight composed of Norwegian and merino wool that’s light, soft and airy making it a promising new contender for cabled projects.

Pictured in the first 3 slides is one of my (many) WIP using the Velvet Fig colour. It’s going to be a Bracken Vest by Alexa and Emily when it grows up. ☺️

I’m a busy bee today getting our restock of it onto the shop shelves. It’s all on the website now and we’re excited to share that we’ve got all the colours in stock (save for two that are OOS with the distributor). We’ve also restocked our tweedy selection of the Peer Gynt.

Also re: last slide - happy first day of being reminded that cozy season will soon be upon us…to all those that celebrate! 🎉 😏

Almost forgot to post this one 🫪 I decided to go with a crochet pattern for our summer stitch-a-long! If you’ve been following along, this is the Falling Blossoms Shawl(ette) by Ana D✨Crochet Designer

I used 1.5 skeins of KFO Pure Silk in Unicorn Purple 🦄

Methinks this would be such a fun buddy pals project with three skeins split between two crochet-loving besties. 👯🏻‍♀️💖

New shop sample alert! And I’m excited about this one 🤩

Donna, one of our loveliest customers, knit this Elise Scarf by Paula_m with KFO Pure Silk in Artichoke Purple and paired it with a new item we have in the shop by Rico Design ‘s called Creative Make It Perlchen in the Amethyst colourway.

I’m not typically one for adding beads or doodads to my knitting (mostly a sensory thing, I think) but this one definitely passes the vibe check. I love how subtle the added beads are and how they give just enough of a little twinkle and catch the light. The best part is you can’t *feel* the beads in the knitted fabric when wearing it. It’s just so pretty! 💕

So hard to capture in a photo though, so I guess you’ll have to come see it for yourself in person. 😉
