Giving you something to marble at ✨️

First project of 2024 in the books! This desk was a bargain purchase and in need of some TLC (and a few handles).

The wood veneer waterfall top has seen better days! It now has a durable, water resistant work surface perfect for a desk, vanity or buffet!

Weekend project gone right ✅

This piece was so much fun, and really helped me appreciate 19th century craftsmanship.

The seating was originally stuffed with horse hair below the cotton overlay (don't worry - no horses were harmed in our re-stuffing!).

Chair is finished in Creme Brulee from Cottage Paint and a royal blue toile fabric.

A little spit-shine for your Wednesday morning ✨

Buying vintage or thrifted items often means little to no information on what things are made of! The "tin" component of these handles made me NERVOUS, let me tell you. The last thing I wanted was to scratch, or worse tarnish, these gorgeous features.

Dawn dish soap, water and an old tooth brush work wonders on "mystery" metals 👌 The amount of oils that transfer to drawer handles from our hands over the years is shocking...especially 90 years worth! Even the top of the metal looks brighter!

Such a satisfying part of this project 🙌

1930s Waterfall Dresser, very well taken care of by its prior owner(s).

Once I saw the gorgeous mustard tortoise-shell half-moon pull handles, I knew a dark navy base was needed to bring out that colour 👌

What I didnt expect was to strip down the previous lacquer on the wood veneer, to a stunning wood grain top and herringbone top drawer 😍 a little clear coat and left it alone

I love when plans change!

Hand-made (not by me), solid wood side table

W 26" x D 13" x H 23.5"

When this piece came to me, it was half demolished and on the way to the trash can 🗑🏚

A broken leg and some screws snapped off inside the cross-bar were just a couple of the things we needed to fix before aesthetic fixing.

Marble vinyl top is spill and stain resistant. Added Classic Gold accent details around the marble top finish and inner part of leg work design. Paint finish is Putty.

Perfect as a front hall table, side table or a new home for your plants!

Stain Swatching Day! 👩‍🎨

Doing the thing I have always been told not to do..... colour-matching virtually 😥

Hi there new hutch 😍

Or at least feels brand new 😉 incredible what a fresh coat of paint and some repurposed table runners can do.

The hardware was painted a gunmetal metallic to accent the soft white cabinet.
