Not all dining room storage needs pretty open shelves and glass doors.🤷‍♀️

In a small home, you have to make every square inch count! 📐 Instead of a traditional buffet, we completely maximized this wall with closed-door cabinetry. 🚪✨

It keeps the dining room looking clean and elevated, but completely fools the eye with what is hiding behind those “drawers.” 👀

Here is the breakdown of what we hid inside:
The Dining Zone: Split storage featuring an upper wine rack and crockery, plus lower drawers for linens and candles. 🍷

The Secret Pantry: What looks like upper and lower cabinets is actually one huge, connected door hiding baking staples, oils, and a custom door-mounted spice rack. 🧂

The Snack Tower: The middle section perfectly disguises a stack of seamless pull-outs for cans, pasta, and everyday snacks. 🥫

You don’t have to sacrifice a beautiful aesthetic to get the heavy-duty storage your home actually needs! 💯

I designed this a while back, and it remains one of my favourites to this day. We went with a super bold terrazzo-look tile in a fan pattern, and I’m so glad we did.

Terrazzo just has this natural warmth and texture that never really goes out of style. It’s awesome seeing it get so much love lately, but to me, it’s always been a classic.
