Currently prototyping a new winter riding skirt!! Looking for some people to custom make for so i can get some feedback on it for a reduced cost.

This is made of water-proof and breathable soft-shell material and custom sized to your waist measurements with plenty of room for adjustability.

I've always struggled finding winter bottoms that fit me for riding as I am a curvier rider.

The soft-shell fabric is lined with a light fleece layer on the inside.
Photos were taken in indoor-arena at -15 celcius, with plenty of warmth and avoids overheating.

Your movement is absolutely un-restricted in the saddle as you will see in the videos.

-Current changes to make are adding pockets and possibly lining with an extra layer of insulation!

Looking for a few people to try one to get feedback. The fabric is very expensive, so I am looking for 1-2 people to try one for the cost of fabric and minimal sewing fee at the moment.

Currently priced at $85 (plus shipping if needed) and current options are royal blue or navy blue softshell fabric.

Please PM if interested!

Some of my recent saddle covers. Super soft fleece! Both available. $35 each.

Hello and welcome to Parkland Pony Designs.

My name is Elena, and I am an avid horse enthusiast, and animal lover, living in the Parkland region of Manitoba. I dabble in many different kinds of fibre-arts: crocheting, sewing, needle felting, you name it. I have been inspired to start this due to needing to solve some practical problems in the horse world, mainly by sewing. I am currently sewing English saddle covers, and bit warmers and am hoping to expand this to include more projects. One of my upcoming sewing projects will be insulated riding skirts for winter riding! I don't like riding in ski pants, nor am I always warm enough wearing winter breeches.

Thanks for following along!
