September is here and so is the time to join our Club! 📣

Is there anything from this list that interests you?

- Colour Play with Textiles ☑
- Learn to Weave on a Floor Loom ☑
- Learn how to felt with fleece ☑
- Knit using the magic of assigning pooling yarn ☑
- Learn how to correct knitting mistakes ☑
- 3 day dyeing workshop for rug hooking ☑
- Spinning wool from fleece ☑
- 2 day workshop teaching fundamentals of rug hooking ☑

That is a list of our upcoming workshops. All of our Teachers are qualified and love what they teach. We have something going on each and every month from September to June.

And guess what! The Esplanade Arts and Culture Centre has asked us to create an Exhibit to be shown from November 15 2027 - to April 15, 2028! What a way to bring in our 50th Anniversary Year. 🙌

One of our Members recently visited Sewline Upholstery to shop for some leather to repair one of our Club's spinning wheels. When he found out that she was delivering a course in March to teach the members how to spin, he provided the leather at no charge. Little things make a big impression. Just saying. 🥰 We love you Sewline and you're Canadian. 🇨🇦

It's Thursday! That means OPEN STUDIO is happening tonight between 6:30-8:30pm in the Fibre Arts Studio (Room CC167) at the Cultural Centre. Bring your own fibre arts project and spend time creating and connecting with other fibre artists. Everyone is welcome - no charge.

☀️ Happy Summer, Everyone! 🧶🌻

The studio is open to members throughout July and August, and we’d love to see you! Drop in to weave, knit, felt, crochet, rug hook, or simply relax and enjoy working on your favorite fibre art project alongside fellow members. 🧵❤️

🌟 Mark your calendars! Our September Membership Drive is just around the corner, and with it comes a season filled with creativity, learning, and friendship.

📅 Our 2026–2027 Program Calendar, featuring workshops, special events, challenges, and more, will be emailed to members at the end of August.

🎉 Exciting News! In 2027, our Fibre Arts Society will be featured at the Esplanade Arts & Heritage Centre! This special exhibition will showcase the amazing variety of fibre art techniques and the beautiful work created by our talented members. We can’t wait to share our passion with the community!
