The Roadside Stand will stay open up until Thanksgiving Monday ~ our last day of the season! But we will be back with even more blooms next Spring!🌻
To give you all a bit more info about my business over the winter months..
This first year becoming a full-time flower farmer/florist has been incredible. I’ve learned so much, and will be taking this along with me as I plan for next season’s blooms.
So what does this mean for ordering flowers over the cold months?
After a lot of thought, I’ve decided to take a little break from floral design over the winter (Nov-Mar). That being said, I am still open to orders for larger events and weddings over the winter time, so please don’t hesitate to ask! Since I don’t have a heated storefront, wrapping and delivering bouquets along with the costs involved makes being a winter florist difficult for me. This lead me to my decision of keeping it seasonal!
What will will next year look like?
My absolute favourite part of my job is being able to sell what I grow. So, my goal for next year is to focus a lot more on growing, while outsourcing much less. When needed, I will be trying my best to outsource locally and the most sustainably as possible. Also.. I may be adding a few fun new things (bees, maybe?).
What about Sumach Espresso?
I will continue to deliver weekly blooms to my fav coffee shop in TO until the last weekend of October! 🎃
