Things I wouldn't do as an interior designer — Kitchen Edition 👇

✔️ Opt for hardware over integrated pulls — timeless, functional, and far easier to update as trends evolve.
✔️ Ditch the microwave rangehood — it shouldn’t be your kitchen’s focal point. Create a dedicated appliance zone instead.
✔️ Skip small-scale backsplash tile — fewer grout lines, easier maintenance, and a cleaner look.
✔️ Choose deeper upper cabinets — 12" uppers date a kitchen and leave valuable storage (and visual impact) on the table.

Designing with longevity, function, and intention always wins. ✨

Bathroom edition: things I usually don’t suggest as an interior designer!
From faucets to floors, some choices look great but aren’t practical for everyday life. Here’s my top 5:
1️⃣ Double-handle faucets – tricky to adjust & extra cleaning
2️⃣ Vessel sinks – splash city and awkward heights
3️⃣ Solid white tile floors – dust and hair show instantly
4️⃣ Waterfall faucets – gorgeous but high maintenance & splashes everywhere
5️⃣ Closets in bathrooms – humidity = musty clothes
Good design is all about style + function. Save yourself the headaches! 💡
