Heads up from your framer - when weaving in your tails, always slip them through towards the center of your stitched area and not towards the edge of it, and then cut your tails. Otherwise they may peak out.

This isn't always visible while you are stitching, but once blocked they are very visible! If you are matting right up to your stitches this obviously isn't an issue, but if you are showing fabric it can distract from all your beautiful stitching. We will of course tuck your tails in as well as we can, but best to just tuck them away yourself!

Anchor was sold and we are no longer able to restock. We are clearing out the remainder of our inventory. Clearance price on Anchor Tapestry $1.45, and 6 stranded cotton $0.75. This applies to on-line orders as well. So check your old patterns and stock up before they are no longer available.

Yesterday was a wonderful day in the shop, we had a great turn out to celebrate Eva’s 1st Year Anniversary of running Gitta’s. We had lots of yummy munchies and of course cake. There were lots of specials and clearance items, which will still be available to any weborders received by end of day today. Eva also gifted “My Needle Stash” Needlecase kit with counting pin to all that attended. Our theme for the day was “Lily of the Valley” – May’s flower and Eva’s favourite. If you were unable to drop by yesterday, we will be posting the free chart for the Needlecase on www.gittas.com under Products/ Free Stuff.

Our FIRST of TWO special Stitch Nights for Stitch North is TODAY! Gitta's will be open until 9pm today! No need to call ahead, just bring your current project and hang out with the locals, or simply enjoy our extended hours for some browsing and shopping.

2 SPECIAL STITCH NIGHTS
