It means children with UV-sensitive conditions can use any room in the house freely, not just the ones with heavy curtains permanently drawn. It means patients on medications that increase UV sensitivity can recover comfortably at home without rearranging their lives around which windows face the sun.
And because the film is virtually invisible, it doesn't darken rooms, tint the glass, or change the feel of the space. For people who already feel restricted by their condition, this matters enormously. Protection doesn't have to mean living in the dark.
It can mean living normally, in a bright, comfortable home, with one less thing to manage.
