If you have had skunks, racoons, or ravens excavating your lawn this spring you more than likely have a GRUB problem!
Chemical solutions can be costly, restrictive and dangerous to people and pets.
Luckily our friends at Natural Insect Control have us covered!
✅Made in Canada Nematodes are a safe, effective and affordable way to manage grubs in your lawn.
But why is fall such a good time to apply nematodes for grub control?
There are a few reasons:
- Young grubs are near the surface. After eggs hatch in late summer, the young grubs are small and actively feeding in the upper soil/root zone. Exactly where the nematodes need them to be.
-Cooler temperatures help. Nematodes generally perform better when soil temperatures are not extremely hot. Fall provide more favourable soil conditions than the heat of mid summer.
- Moisture is easier to maintain. Nematodes need moisture to move through the soil and reach grubs. Fall usually brings more regular rainfall, and keeping the lawn moist after applications helps considerably.
- you can target the next generation. Controlling young grubs in fall reduces the number that survive winter and mature into beetles that can reproduce the following summer.
