After a busy season, we have had time to look over our cameras and are outraged at the amount of people that thought it was OK to trespass on our farm after hours to help themselves to a tree. We know who you are. The RCMP have been contacted so you can expect a visit from them. This is trespassing and theft. CLOSED means closed.
A few years ago, we suffered from a theft of huge amount of trees and it took a long time to recoup our losses. We decided we were not going to let this happen again. We invested in surveillance cameras and field cameras. all trespassers will be held accountable.
We were closed and completely sold out of Christmas trees that we had aloted for sale this year. We posted this multiple times on our page and our website. Our gate was locked, secured and the closed sign was up so we are unsure how you couldn't understand we were closed.
If the grocery stores were sold out of turkeys or hams, we would never enter your home and take yours. Or sneak onto another farmers field and take part of your crop. Leave $40 on your counter, so we could have our own Christmas dinner. Our family would never do this to you.
We are a small family run farm and your selfish behavior hurts our family. Every tree you stole from us was for next years season means someone doesn't get a tree next year. And yes, even if you leave money in the shack, it is still trespassing and theft. It takes 8-10 years of hard work to produce just one tree. We cannot just plant a seedling this year and have it ready for sale next year. Mother nature does not work that way.
