Now that my first solo exhibition Where the roads meet|Là où les routes se croisent Galerie McClure | McClure Gallery has come to an end, I want to say thank you once again to everyone who visited from September 3rd to October 10th, showed their support, and joined me for the Art Hive: Mapping Our Roads on September 26. Thank you for being part of this journey and making this experience so meaningful.

I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to share my work, for everything I’ve learned along the way, and for all the people who helped bring this exhibition to life.

A special thank you to Corinna, Amber, Louise, and Gabrielle for their time, care, and support, from installing the exhibition to photographing my work.

So much love and gratitude to my friend Nada , Raquel 🔮🍃✨ , Michael Mangoni , and Matty for helping me transport my work to and from the gallery, and to Maya Moumne for helping me and sharing her feedback on the installation before the opening. Your help meant so much to me. 🫶🏾

Thank you to everyone who joined me for Art Hive: Mapping Our Roads / Cartographier nos routes! So many beautiful and meaningful drawings were created together. It was wonderful to see everyone’s ideas, memories, and stories take shape. 🫶🏾

There’s a week and a half left to visit Where the Roads Meet | Là où les routes se croisent at Gallery McClure.

Finissage: Saturday, October 10 · 2–4 PM ✨
Non-alcoholic drinks will be served.

Thank you sooo much to everyone who came by this past Thursday for the opening of my first solo show Where the roads meet|Là où les routes se croisent 💙 My heart is blessed !
The show is open until October 10th 2026 and every Saturday there will be a soundscape that will animate the space.
On September 26th, I’ll be hosting an art hive from 10am + so come through if you want to create with me.
Reach to me if you want to plan a solo or group visit, I’ll be happy to walk you through the exhibition and answer all your questions.

There’s gallery is closed every Sunday.

There’s a limited amount of free poems|text available at the gallery to take home with you, one per person.

Merci du fond du cœur à toutes les personnes qui sont venues ce jeudi pour le vernissage de ma toute première exposition solo, Where the Roads Meet | Là où les routes se croisent 💙 Mon cœur est comblé !

L’exposition est ouverte jusqu’au 10 octobre 2026 et, chaque samedi, un paysage sonore viendra animer l’espace.

Le 26 septembre, j’animerai une ruche d’art à partir de 10 h — alors venez créer avec moi si le cœur vous en dit ! 🎨

Écrivez-moi si vous souhaitez organiser une visite individuelle ou en groupe. Je serai ravie de vous accompagner à travers l’exposition et de répondre à toutes vos questions.

La galerie est fermée tous les dimanches.

Une quantité limitée de poèmes/textes gratuits est disponible à la galerie pour que vous puissiez en emporter un exemplaire chez vous — un par personne.

I’m inviting you to bring a snack|amuse-bouche from your montreal|native country|culture to the vernissage tomorrow that you would like to share with everyone. Make sure you have the ingredient list written down or visible. So that everyone can eat, we are encouraging to bring more vegan and gluten free options, although meat and other snacks, food are also acceptable.

The vernissage will also be sponsored by Zamalek which I’m grateful for and Salaam Cola Moral Munch for alcohol free options ✨

Hi my name is Josepha Dumas, I am a Haitian-French multidisciplinary artist born and raised in Pétion-ville Haiti until the age of 11 years old. Then I immigrated to Miami in the United States then in Sarrebrücken in Germany. I live in Montreal, Qc Canada since 2013.

I want to personally invite you to my first solo exhibition happening at the gallery McClure in Westmount. The opening will take place on September 3rd from 6-8pm.
I hope to see you there!

On the same day I wil be doing my ceremony for the Canadian citizenship so after 13 years I’m super exited.

My show is called Where the roads meet, and explores theme of immigration, displacement, hybrid identity and landscapes, moving from time and place and seasons. So everywhere at once like nowhere at the same time.

How it’s going so far 🎈🧸🪁

Still not done but getting there.
Here are some details of my most recent painting: a portrait-landscape of my 5 year old nephew Saiik and it’s part of a series of a total of 6 portrait-landscapes paintings of some of my family members.

Each painting will be done and created in the perspective of the person I’m representing… so I’ll be exploring with style, colors, brush-work, props, and composition based on their age and day-to-day interest/hobbies.

Some behind the scenes of my process of my new painting…. Having fun with this one, more so since it’s a portrait-landscape of my five year old nephew Saiik so I’ve been enjoying seeing life through a five years old’s perspective 🎈
Also as you can see I mostly sing while I’m painting.
