Whole-house design project in Contrecoeur is being thoughtfully developed in phases, starting from the basement and moving upward.

Phase 1 is focused on transforming an unfinished basement into a functional and well-balanced space that includes a home office, gym, and bathroom. One of the main challenges was connecting the office and gym without making either space feel tight or overcrowded. This was resolved by introducing a window wall to visually separate the areas while maintaining light and openness. Another key intervention was the reconfiguration of the staircase to improve circulation and overall flow.

The completion of the design phase of a basement project in Gatineau marks the transformation of an empty space into a fully functional 5 ½ living space. Challenges that arose during the design process were addressed through careful planning and resourceful problem-solving, resulting in a strong and well-thought out concept. The basement design process has commenced, but it's proving complex due to the irregular placement of plumbing lines and stacks. Water lines and pipes are routed in various directions, and the space features different heights and low ceilings. Incorporating a bathroom with limited ceiling height demands innovative solutions to maximize vertical space. Installing recessed rainfall showerheads into the ceiling can help achieve this goal.
