Patio season is here and what's nicer than sitting out surrounded by the glow of lots of glittering fireflies --or for those of us not living in a Scandinavian fable, lots of glittering candle flames.
Idk about you, but my jam is definitely not about paraffin candles wafting their synthetic fragrances around.
I'm a fan of things I know, like pure essential oils, and coconut oil or beeswax, like the ingredients uses.
Fenwick Candles wanted to go against the grain of the large unconcerned and uneducated business of the candle company industry. They wanted to prioritize holistic health and environmental impact over profit.
Innovators that they are, eventually they created their own wax blend of three honest, all-natural and organic raw materials which are 100% sustainable and renewable!
They start with Coconut oil so that the essential oils have a good base to blend together in and not get burnt out.
Next sustainably farmed palm oil is sourced (down to the farm!) to ensure a quality burn time.
And lastly beeswax is their stabilizing force, giving the candles their solid and durable texture. What's really cool is that they only work with certain Canadian Apiaries that honour sustainable practices to encourage and protect their bees! And of course the wax is NEVER bleached. They'll opt for their charcoal filtered wax instead which is totally non-toxic.
