t’s my birthday ☕️🥐💕

And there’s no other way I’d want to celebrate than having a coffee and croissant with my babies in the park.

Even on big days, it’s important to cherish even the smallest moments because these are the ones that will last a lifetime.

Better-for-You Chocolate Chip Muffins 🤍

Back-to-school season is here, and these are the muffins you’ll feel good about packing in your kids’ lunchboxes. They’re soft, fluffy, naturally sweetened with maple syrup, and made with simple ingredients you probably already have at home.

We added chocolate chips (because everything’s more fun with chocolate🍫), but these are just as delicious with fresh or frozen blueberries!

Ingredients:
1¾ cups flour (or oat flour for a gluten-free option)
2 tsp baking powder
½ cup butter, very softened
½ cup pure maple syrup
2 eggs, room temperature
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup milk
½ cup chocolate chips (I always look for refined sugar-free chocolate chips or ones with minimal ingredients)

Instructions:
1. In one bowl, whisk together the softened butter, maple syrup, eggs, vanilla, and milk.
2. In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking powder.
3. Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
4. Gently fold in the chocolate chips (or blueberries!).
5. Divide the batter evenly into a lined or lightly greased muffin tin.
6. Bake at 425°F for 5 minutes, then without opening the oven, reduce the temperature to 350°F and continue baking for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

These are perfect for lunchboxes, after-school snacks, or a quick breakfast all week long. Save this one for your next baking day!

This is my go-to mom hack when I don’t feel like cooking dinner. 🙌

After a long day, I open the Vayla app, browse the amazing deals at my favourite restaurants around Montreal, and let someone else handle dinner. 🍕

Tonight’s choice? A FREE 3-topping pizza from Domino’s! 🤭

If you’re in Montreal, do yourself a favour and check out Vayla They have incredible discounts on restaurants, cafés, activities, fitness studios, and so much more. Trust me, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it.

Grocery shopping with kids doesn’t have to feel like a chore. 😂🤍

These are the 5 things that have completely changed our grocery trips and made our Sunday reset so much more enjoyable.

🍪✨ 1. Bring lots of snacks.
A full tummy and busy hands make all the difference. I always pack a few snacks to keep everyone happy while we shop.

🍓🛒2. Get them involved.
Let them help pick the fruit, bag the produce, find items on the shelves, and add them to the cart. Kids love having a job, and it keeps them engaged from start to finish.

☕️🥐 3. Make it a family outing.
We all go together, grab a coffee for us and a little croissant for the kids, and turn grocery shopping into quality family time instead of another chore.

👩🏼👨🏻 4. Divide and conquer.
One parent focuses on getting the groceries done efficiently while the other keeps the kids entertained. Whether it’s racing down the aisles, playing I Spy, or chatting in the cart, everyone has a better time.

🍏🍭 5. Let them help make the grocery list.
Ask them what fruits, snacks, or healthy treats they’d like to pick up that week. Giving them a few choices helps them feel included, and we usually plan to enjoy one of their special picks when we get home. A little positive reinforcement goes a long way.

These simple habits have made grocery shopping so much less stressful and honestly something we all look forward to each week.

What would you add to this list? 👇

The biggest thing that’s changed my life isn’t finding more time... it’s being fully present in the time I already have.

When I’m at work, I work hard. I stay focused, get through my to-do list, and give it my all. Then, when I walk through my front door, I switch gears. My phone goes down, my laptop stays closed, and my attention goes to the little people who need me most.
I’m not always perfect at it, but I’ve learned that trying to do everything at once usually means I’m not fully doing anything.

Being present in the moment you’re in has made me more productive at work, more intentional at home, and so much more at peace.

Busy doesn’t have to mean scattered. ❤️

How do you stay present when life feels busy?

Korean Coleslaw 🥬

The perfect fresh and crunchy side for my Better-for-You Korean Short Ribs. It’s light, full of flavour, and the longer it sits, the better it gets.

Ingredients:
½ large green cabbage, thinly sliced
½ large purple cabbage, thinly sliced
2 carrots, grated
3 green onions, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp coconut aminos (or soy sauce)
2 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp maple syrup
½ tbsp sesame oil
Salt & pepper, to taste
Sesame seeds, for topping

Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and toss until everything is evenly coated. Top with sesame seeds and let sit for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavours to deepen.

The easiest side dish for summer dinners, meal prep, or whenever you need something fresh to balance a rich main. 🤍
