🌺Let’s talk layering! So many times I hear a quick refusal when someone looks at patterned bedding. But you control the amount of pattern being seen. Here the bedding is flipped so the solid end of the duvet cover is towards the foot with just a peek of pattern in the fold back and shams. A warm cream quilt was added to pull from the cream in the duvet cover and add texture to the overall look. The reverse could also be done with this bedding. The pattern could go towards the foot of the bed with the more solid part as the fold back. Toss a solid complimentary throw on the bed for a completely different look. So the next time you see bedding with pattern that has colours you like, be open minded and visualize how the finished look will be when you’ve added all the layers. (Add large square Euro Pillows behind the shams for even more layers!)

Also, notice the use of multiple patterns. You don’t have to have solid with pattern. Layering patterns can add so much interest and a “designed” look to your bedding. How would you like to see this combo? More or less pattern?
