The concept behind our Willow & Oak project began, as every project does, with a clear vision.

We will soon be revealing the finished kitchen renovation - a timeless, warm space thoughtfully rooted in the character of the home. Designed to feel both enduring and inviting, every detail was carefully considered to support how our clients live day to day.

June was a busy and exciting month for the IDG Team, and we’re excited to finally share that we were honoured as winners at the 2026 Western Canada Design Excellence Awards, held earlier this month in Vancouver.

Our Edgewater project was recognized as 2026 Best Commercial Space: Senior Resort.

We’re incredibly grateful for this recognition and proud of the thoughtful work and collaboration that brought this project to life. Congratulations to all of the other category winners, and thank you to the judges, NKBA, and event sponsors for celebrating excellence in design. 🎉

Designed as a welcoming place to pause and unwind, the lounge at The Sand Dollar Café in our Edgewater project pairs comfort with timeless design.

The soft blue tones in the feature fireplace tile are reflected in the sofa and throw pillows, while the warm wood panelling adds richness, texture, and a cozy atmosphere.

Our Panorama project kitchen features clean lines, flat millwork, and an abundance of natural light to create a warm, welcoming space.

Clean white quartz with a waterfall edge on the island and extending up the backsplash adds a crisp, refined touch, while the tiled floor brings durability and subtle texture.

Together, these elements create a beautiful contrast with the warm wood millwork, adding balance and depth to the overall design.

The IDG Design Team had the pleasure of attending last week’s Vancouver Island Commercial Building Excellence Awards - and we’re proud to share that our project, Edgewater Seniors Living Resort, received an Award of Excellence in the Purpose-Built Rental category! ✨

We’re grateful to have partnered with Avenir Developments on this journey. Their collaboration, commitment, and team spirit helped bring this project to life in a way we’re incredibly proud of.

A big thank you to the organizers, judges, and sponsors, and congratulations to all of the other finalists and winners. It was truly inspiring to see so many outstanding commercial projects across the island. 🥂
