A great day out at Arbutus Ridge Golf Club for the Canadian Home Builders’ Association - Vancouver Island golf tournament.

We had an awesome time connecting with builders, industry partners, and familiar faces while serving up margaritas and walking tacos at our sponsored hole. Safe to say… they were a hit. 🍹🌮⛳️🏌️

Events like this are a great reminder that this industry is built on relationships just as much as projects.

An intricate deer design for Mowachaht/Muchalaht First Nation (MMFN) in Gold River, created with Forbo Marmoleum and waterjet cut by Hydrosion to bring every detail to life.

A lot went into this — from early planning to final install — and our crew absolutely nailed it!!

This kitchen features Daltile – Harlequin series in the colour Waterfall. The gentle blue adds just enough contrast against the white cabinetry while keeping the space light and timeless.

Shawnigan Lake School – Gym Entry

Last summer we had the pleasure of completing this carpet tile installation in the gym entry at Shawnigan Lake School.

The school carries a very classic, heritage-style atmosphere, so the goal was to select a flooring option that would complement that character while still performing well in a high-traffic space.

Working with the school’s gold accent colour, we installed Milliken carpet tile – Comfortable Concrete | Urban Portrait in the colour Cool Flame.

As always, we’re incredibly proud of our installation team!

New Carpet Tile Series from Milliken – Nibi

We’re excited to showcase Nibi (nih-beh), a new carpet tile collection from Milliken.

The name Nibi comes from the Anishinaabemowin word for “water,” symbolizing resilience, renewal, and restoration. Part of Milliken’s Reconciliation Through Design initiative, this collection honors Indigenous culture, history, and craftsmanship.

Designed by Anishinaabe interior designer Destiny Seymour of Winnipeg, the patterns draw inspiration from ancient Indigenous ceramics and bone tools — reinterpreting traditional markings into modern flooring design.

The collection features five patterns and six colourways, creating a versatile carpet tile series rooted in cultural storytelling and thoughtful design.

A meaningful example of how design can connect history, culture, and modern commercial spaces.

From locomotive machine shop to modern community space.

The Abba team recently completed the flooring installation at Heart of the Hub (HOH) in Ladysmith, featuring Forbo Marmoleum in Cosmo — a bold, deep tone that grounds the space while maintaining the durability needed for a busy public building.

Originally built in 1943 as a machine shop servicing fleets of locomotives, railcars, and railway equipment, the building carries a lot of history. With a structure of that age and industrial past, substantial substrate preparation was required before resilient flooring could be installed.

Our team put in the work to properly prepare the substrate and deliver a clean, long-lasting.

Installing a gym floor is one thing.
Getting every sport line perfectly laid out and painted is another.

This school gym was finished with Mondo sports flooring, complete with the full sport line layout. Precision matters in spaces like this—every line has to be exact.
