Some of my favourite moments in the studio happen long before a piece is finished. It’s that in-between stage, when an idea is still becoming itself; when loose materials, scattered tools, and a little spark of inspiration start quietly turning into something real. I never get tired of watching that happen. There’s something deeply grounding about making with your hands and letting your mind wander while your heart stays focused. Art has always felt like one of our oldest and most honest ways of communicating; before the words are polished, before the explanation arrives. Sometimes creating feels less like inventing something new, and more like helping a small idea grow into exactly what it was meant to become. That part never stops feeling like magic.
