POW-R-PUCK, circa 1960s and 1970s. Test your slap-shot power. Super high tech stuff. I was shocked at the prices I saw these for. $75-$200 plus. I wish I had one still I'm the original packaging.

This is not mine, but is something my parents have collected through the years. It's a 1950's radio complete with earbuds. Was once my Grandmother's.

This Roy "Doc" Halladay peice commemerates his perfect game. Doc is my Favorite Jay's pitcher of all time. Followed by Jimmy Key, Juan Guzman, Roberto Osuna and the Heinke/Ward combo.

When I'm ranking the greatest Jay's pitchers of all time, I'm only looking at time spent with the Blue Jays.

My number one will be Controversial. Pains me to give it to the guy because I dislike him so much, this was also during the time that performance enhancing substances were beginning to be used in Baseball. Roger Clemens. You can make arguments for Doc and Steib both with longer tenures and more loyalty to the organization but, 2 triple crowns, 2 Cy Young awards and 2 all-star appearances in a 2 year stay with the Jay's closes that argument to me.

Number 2 is Dave Steib, 7 all-star appearances and the only no-hitter in Jay's history.

Number 3 is Roy Halladay, 6 all-star appearancesand 1 Cy Young. If it had been the first in Jay's history he would be ahead of Steib. He is the Jay's pitcher I have the most memories of watching. The only good thing about those Jay's teams of that era and the last true ace the Jay's had. That Kyle Drabyek deal sure worked out great for the Jay's didn't it. A perfect game and a playoff no-hitter with the Phillies just add to his lore for me. My favorite pitcher period.

Number 4 no offence here but the next class of pitchers is a significant step down. Pat Hentgen. He wasn't as dominant for aslong but for 5 out of a 6 year stretch he sure was. 3 3 all-star and Toronto's first Cy Young winner.

Number 5 is Jimmy Key, my second favorite Jay's pitcher of all-time. Clutch in the first world series win and a 2-time all-star.

David Wells and Juan Guzman both get honorable mentions

Best relievers Heinke and Ward. Toronto doesn't really do relievers well. Osuna was a something to watch. Remember watching him strikeout 3 betters on 9 pitches. As a rookie.

This is a firstbaseman's mitt. A rough time frame for this glove would be somewhere around 1940, possibly earlier. My research (aka Google searches) tells me that the first rumored use of a baseball glove was in 1970 by an injured catcher. The first confirmed use of a baseball glove came in 1875. Common use of a baseball glove however took awhile to ....catch..... on. Pretty much for the same reason the hockey helmet wasn't a smooth transition. The first basemans glove had been in use since around 1920 but became popular in the 1940s when rules about the mitt become clear. I've seen these on ebay for anywhere from $30-$70. Those would have been in better condition then mine but possibly not as old. The range I got for years of use on this glove range from 1920-1950. The labels and marking on the glove are also too worn off for me to read. So I'd have to have an expert have a look to know anything for sure and have more definitive answers. Either way it's a pretty cool peice my Dad gave me when I was young. I've played catch with it a few times. I'd compare it to having a small throw pillow on your hand, you've got to use your other hand to trap it, not much of a pocket. My Dad could snag them OK but a 8 years old kid doesn't really bring the heat I suppose

So let's say about the 2005 era I got a notion to buy up a bunch of autographed sports collectables. I went to a Jay's game and picked up a Devon White autographed ball and followed that up with 3 other pieces. I picked this Martin Brodeur 552nd win autographed puck peice. It's fairly nice and similiar to the type of collectables you see commonly outside grocery stores or auctioned for charities. This is something I'd like to find a good home for. I have it posted on Kiji and Ebay but on here I'd let it go for $140. Brodeur for me ranks as number 2b for best 90's goalies with Patrick Roy as 2a. I'd like to put Belfour in at 3 but I think grudgingly I'd have to give that Hasek. Obviously as any Leafs fan knows Felix Potvin is the hands down number 1.

Welcome to my latest page. Over the 40 some years of my life I've collected alot of things. So much so that I haven't got room for everything. This page is to serve 2 purposes. One, I have to get rid of some of this stuff and Two what good is a collection you can't share.

This is a cast iron fire truck and a Horse bookend. Cast iron toys era is from the late 1800s until the Great Depression when people didn't have money for this kind of stuff. I found it interesting that in that timeframe cast iron use has been compared to modern day plastics. After doing some research I feel pretty certain the fire truck is a reproduction. It checks all the boxes. Biggest giveaway is the quality of the mold and Phillips screw holding it together. Phillips screws weren't invented until 1932. The horse bookend dates back to 1920 or earlier. My wife Livingstone bought me both these for my birthday last year, and I think there both pretty cool.
