I am in Muenster, SK for a few days, attending the Saskatchewan Stitches Conference. Two days of classes done with a third class tomorrow, before heading for home. A fun experience, learning lots, and exploring new fiber art forms.
Sundays class was a felted landscape with Heather Grover from MooseJaw. My piece is the view from my front yard, but needs some work yet. One day is not enough time for any of the projects, but it allows me to play at home until I am happy with the results.
My class today was called Circles, Layers and Lace with Ana Buzzalino from Calgary. All hand stitched and still needs a few hours of stitching before it is completed. Ana instructs classes around the world and I was happy to enroll in not just one, but two of her classes. Tomorrow's is called Beyond the Rocks. Looking forward to another new creation.

I spent the weekend quilting with friends. A small quilt for a little guy in my life and other items for my next craft sale.

Part of my home is decorated with art pieces from the north, a reminder of the amazing time I lived in Yellowknife. What better fabric to use for a table runner, but a line called Northern Lights. The top is complete, now for quilting and binding. I am hoping to go back in 2026 to visit the many friends I left behind and to enjoy the Northern Lights in person.

Last July I participated in a quilting class via zoom. It was a lot of fun, with participants from around the globe, the instructor lives in Italy, and I learned a new technique,how to make half square rectangles. I finally finished the top and a pieced backing, and it is now being quilted. Stay tuned for the finished quilt.
