Kelsey Anne, our friend at East Coast Pop-up Weddings introduced us to Churchill House, an original Victorian designed home built in the late 1800’s in Hantsport, Nova Scotia.

We toured the house in awe, discovering a Hantsport craftsman of the day hand, George Lyons, artistically painted the flowers and roses you see on the walls.

On our first visit to Churchill House these colours lived rent free in my imagination until this moment.

With a knowing eye, Samson of Samson Photography, seamlessly bridges the artistry of a 19th century craftsman with the artistic expression of a 21st century floral designer. For an invisible and natural feel.

To have the creative freedom to match the moment. What joy!

Carol from Foraged Florals, along with 5 other adventurous senior South Shore gardeners, participated this summer in SAGED Filmmaking Program to create 1-2 minute 16mm experimental films, part of the Lunenburg Doc Fest.

Carol’s film, The Peony Mystic, very briefly explores the meaning of peonies today.

The SAGED film screening is free.
