We are very proud to Introduce our first ever in Canada TWISTED TIMBERS! We have been working tirelessly on these for the past 2 years. I want to thank everyone who was involved in helping out with these. I truly believe you helped create something that people are going to love. We worked so hard on the idea, the design, the application, the cutting, and finally the patent we have filed for these. Thank you everyone again. Our Twisted Timbers are now available!!! Lengths of up to 16 feet, widths up to 12"×12" wide and square, hexagon, and octagon shapes all twisted (spiraled) down the posts.

Every once in a while you’ve got to take a little road trip when the wood supply starts getting low… so I pointed the truck toward Clarington and headed down to see my good buddy Rod at THE WOOD SHOPPE to restock on some beautiful Walnut. 🪵🚗

Now, a trip to Rod’s place isn’t just a quick “grab the lumber and go” kind of deal. It’s more like a treasure hunt mixed with a stand-up comedy show. 😄 You walk in planning to grab a couple boards… and the next thing you know you’re digging through stacks of incredible slabs thinking, “Well… I probably need this one too.”

Rod’s got some seriously gorgeous material down there — live edge Walnut, Maple, and all kinds of character-filled lumber just waiting to become something amazing. Perfect if you're building shelves, counter tops, epoxy tables, or any project that deserves a little natural wow factor.

And the best part? Rod’s just a great guy to deal with. Easygoing, fair prices, and the kind of place where you almost always leave with exactly what you needed… plus a couple extra boards you didn’t plan on… and a few good laughs along the way. 😂

One of the best parts of running The Wood Shoppe is meeting talented people who share the same love for wood and craftsmanship that we do. One of those people is George from Genuine Creations Canada.
George is an incredibly skilled craftsman who makes beautiful handcrafted wood products including cutting boards, charcuterie boards, serving trays, coasters and more. The quality and care he puts into every piece really shows, and it’s always impressive to see the work he creates from carefully selected hardwood.
Whenever George stops by The Wood Shoppe it’s always a great time. We usually start out talking about wood, projects, and ideas, then before we know it we’re joking around and chatting for hours. It’s visits like that that make what we do even more enjoyable.
We’re always happy to see George walk through the door and can’t wait to see what he comes up with next at Genuine Creations Canada.
