Here's something most people don't know. Windows are almost never perfectly square! 🪟
And that's just the beginning of why window treatment measurements are trickier than they look.
Here are the 5 secrets our team uses every single time:
1️⃣ Measure in three places; top, middle, and bottom of width; and left, middle and right of height. Always use the smallest measurement.
2️⃣ Know your mount type first. Inside vs. outside mount changes everything about how you measure.
3️⃣ Account for the stack. Drapery needs extra width to look full and luxurious when open.
4️⃣ Don't forget the hardware. If your rod sits above the frame, measure from there, not the window.
5️⃣ When in doubt, call a professional. One wrong number means a costly remake.
