Around 1995 I began making silk floral arrangements for my family and friends. My brother-in-law then retired and I decided to enter into craft shows with him. He made custom bird houses/bird feeders. He thought our artistic talents would work well together which in turn flourished my love and interest in creating floral arrangements. After becoming successful, I later expanded on my creations by
opening a studio in 2001. I find that when I begin one arrangement, my mind is already searching and planning out the next one. This is because the creative possibilities are endless. It will usually start with one flower or vase that has caught my eye and then it expands into something bigger. The main reason I believe my work is different than others is due to the fact that every piece is a signature item. I believe in using the best quality materials, and strive for the most unique arrangements. I have expanded in the past five years by also making jewelry, and painting on glass and ceramic. Over these years I have begun to take in many custom orders. My customers can bring me a clothing article that I will design a jewelry piece around, matching or complimenting the colour(s)of the garment. They can also decide on the length of the necklace and/or earrings . The possibilities are endless. I have had customers bring me pillows, paint chips, fabric swatches, or vases. Using these items, we have collaborated ideas together resulting in a signature piece specially suited to their taste and style. Many customers have asked me to do personal paintings on wine glasses. My studio is open all year round, but by appointment only. I will always do my best to accommodate everyone and am very loyal to my customers. Every year at Christmas I have a very large open house. You will be greeted at the door with an apple cider, hot chocolate, or cranberry juice. After this, you can walk around the bottom floor and the upstairs studio of my home.
