A small project to make an older installation code compliant.
The rear brick was installed on the floor pad so we decided to remove hardwood floor to install tiles flush with the floor surface.
Changed flue pipes for better flow.

Hard to believe in this heat wave we’re thinking about woodstove heating.
Chimney and ceramics are done.
I was certainly glad to get out of the attic and off the hot roof.
Just another example of what goes into properly flashing and water proofing a chimney.

Decided to start working on some organization of the shop tools. Edwin took this on and is really getting good at making the most with the space available.
Using Kaizen foam to give every tool a place. This puts everything at your fingertips and you can tell when something is missing. Neat trick to heat up a piece of copper pipe to make finger holes for easy access to the tools.

During this shut down I’m taking advantage and emptying the truck to make it more efficient. These are things that have been bugging me for a while now.
This would have been the annual Fluemaster Spring workshop weekend. Always a great time and always learning something new. I hope others are taking advantage and will be ready to roll once we’re back at work.
Used left over pieces of wood and pipes to organize the parts containers and the caulking tubes. Next will be to take advantage of the back doors and get some hand tools where I need them.
